Dialogue

This dialogue annimation depicts Charlie from Always Sunny in Philladelphia solving the mystery in the mailroom about Carol and Pepe Silvia. An all time favorite show and scene this scene was fun making an original annimation of. The body has a lot more movement than I would have liked but I feel like the mouth does a pretty good job of lip synching the audio. If I had more time I would have liked to add some arms and eyes/ eyebrows to really drive home the emotion in this scene. The movement of the body and head is a little rushed as well. I love the way the background came out, perfectly depicting the chaotic scene that Charlie made in the mailroom.

Walk Cycle

This walk cycle depicts a figure walking along a railroad track at night. The intended walk turned out to appear more like a sideways shuffle as the legs did not cross over. The arms do cross over but because the legs appear as a sideways shuffle movement this arm movement does not logically correspond.

Weight

This annimation depicts a guy trying to push a heavy box at the end of a hill. He struggles to make it budge and ends up popping his back out resuulting in him julting up and reaching for the broken bone.

Flour Sack Animation

This animation depicts a flour sack flexing at a power lifitng club to an audience of flour sacks. Prior to lifting the barbell infront of the flour sack, it shows off it's muscles in 2 poses. The first pose is a sideways flex facing the barbell and the second pose is turned to the audience.

Flour Sack Gestures

This project was the creation of various flour sack poses. The weight is intended to stay consistent as the flour sack is the same flour sack throughout. The poses were made to inspire a flour sack action animation to create next.

Timing/Spacing

This project was a timing and spacing exercise. It demonstartes the techniques of the following movements: linear, ease in and out, easae out, ease in, overshoot and settle, and vibrate. The examples in the video all start and end at the same point. The speeds of travel are all uniquely different. These movements will be encorporated in future annimations to display realistic or unreal motion.

Overlapping action and followthrough

Below is an annimation of a moving platform with a pendulum hanging from it. Both objects practice slow in and slow out. As the rectangle accelerates to it's end point, the ball and string pendulum follows behind with a slight delay. The pendulum follows the rules of annimation regarding arcs demonstrated in the ball's movement. At the end of the rectangle's movement the pendulum follows in an overshoot and settle movement with a settling finish.
